Statement From Dr Raghu Neppalli 23 February 2021

Bridge Dental Surgeries continues to be open for all treatment and your regular check-ups. Our stringent risk assessments and protocols ensure that all staff and service users are protected from the risks of cross infection of any transmissible disease.  In addition, we do not, at present, see any patient who is symptomatic with Covid-19 or isolating due to track and trace until they have completed the appropriate period of isolation.

Our website ( will give you an idea of what to expect when you decide to return to us.

These precautions and protocols will only cease when Public Health England (PHE) tell us that the pandemic is over even if you have been vaccinated.  In terms of vaccination, over 90% of my staff have had the first dose of either the Pfizer or Astra-Zenica vaccine.

Statement From Dr Raghu Neppalli · 13 January 2021

COVID-19 Update for Patients of Bridge Dental Surgeries.
Thank you to all our patients for your continued support and understanding during this global crisis.

Although England has been put back into lockdown , we continue to be open. Please call 01628 474044 in the first instance and if we do not answer please leave a message and we will be in contact with you.
During this unprecedented crisis, we have not sat still. I have implemented the best guidance to ensure that we minimise the risks from all cross infective hazards to both our patients and members of my team. To that end, I have written risks assessments that not only manage risks from COVID-19 but also from all the plethora of infective risks that are fully compliant with the HTM0105 and provide best practice standards for cross infection control.
With the additional hurdles that COVID-19 has presented us please be aware that until a definitive solution to COVID-19 is presented by the authorities your experience with us at Bridge Dental Surgeries continues to be different to that prior to this Pandemic. The following is a list of the major changes that you will experience:

  • You will be asked multiple times on your experience of coronavirus and be asked to complete an additional health questionnaire on arrival.
  • You will be asked to arrive at Bridge Dental Surgeries wearing a mask or other face covering and to wash your hands in the outside sink.
  • We will try and minimise your time in the waiting room and to this end and if possible, we will ask you to pay over the telephone prior to the appointment.
  • Once in the surgery we may ask you to rinse out with a proven antiseptic mouthwash which acts to kill COVID-19.
  • There will be an increased level of PPE worn by the dentist, nurse and reception. Please do not be alarmed as we are following best practice.
  • We will be using Rubber Dam more frequently.
  • We already use high volume suction if we are doing fillings and this is proved to remove over 90% of the aerosol generated by the procedures. In addition we will be using high volume evacuation (HVE) in our surgeries to ensure the air is refreshed in each surgery at least every 3-5 minutes.
  • We have invested in air purification systems for our surgeries and waiting area and High Volume Evacuation in our surgeries and this has allowed us to minimise fallow time as the air is renewed up to 20 times per hour. In addition we continually fog our surgeries with a antiviral agent. As a result we are back to providing comprehensive dental care to improve your health.
  • Unfortunately we have not been given access to routine PCR tests for coronavirus but please be reassured that since we re-opened on 01 June 2020 we have not had a single case of Covid-19 amongst my team. During December 2020 I undertook a antibody test which demonstrated that I have never contracted Covid-19.
At Bridge Dental we pride ourselves on putting people first and your safety as well as that of my team are our highest priority.
